Family

Today the kids made it through Sacrament without too many problems. I brought an old palm pilot for H to play with when he got ready to lose it. It seemed to work. I also brought him a piece of paper and pencil to help him through the time.

T had her First Grade Christmas program this past week. We got there about 25 minutes before it began (T was supposed to be there at 6:30, and it started at 7), but most of the chairs were taken and we ended up sitting pretty near the back. Since it was in the cafeteria we could see T for most of her part but it was hard to focus on the singing since we couldn't really see what was going on most of the time. At least it was about what I expected :) Always good to have low expectations and be rewarded than the opposite.

E and T had testing for school yesterday. They have testing again this week on Thursday night. Then we'll get to wait and see how they are scored for the accelerated learning program. Once you're on the program I find it hard to understand how you'd come off of it and not be totally bored the following year. Anyway, we're hoping that whatever is best happens for them.

Work

I finished working on some bugs found in the software I was working on. We also started the next two-three-four weeks of work for the other project I'm working on. Since the customer will be gone the week before Christmas we'll be making the most of the time and trying to get done what we can.

Ward Christmas Party

It went very well. Being assigned to help out, we find out first hand how much work is involved. We do help when we're not assigned, but with the assignment it's foremost on our minds. Mom was basically at the church from noon to nine and I came over to help set up chairs and tables around noon. I then helped at the event to get ready and then to clean up. It went really well and I think everyone had a great time. The kids enjoyed it and really enjoy that mom and dad are helping because that means less adult supervision. More time to be a kid.

Brrr

Anyway, that's about all that happened this week. Temperatures are on the chilly side and I think only the teen crowd can do without coats. I saw one fellow in shorts and a coat, but I know that I tend to need more covering to stay warm. Have a great week!
