Really removing the OS X sleepimage

Recently I noticed that my sleepimage had come back even though I had previously set my mac's hibernate mode to 0, which means that when the computer sleeps it won't write a large sleepimage file to the harddisk. I did a search online and found this at macrumors.com - the post that helped me is down the page a little and says to create an immutable file with the same name as sleepimage. This has been working for me and my box has a few gigs of space available as well as not being slow going to sleep.
